Skipper 70s slim fit double breast ribbed mariner/ sailor jumper with red/white Stripes & anchor buttons, mint condition 80s Italy

Skipper vintage slim fit double breast cardigan made in Italy in the 70s.
The brand name says it all about the target customer for their collections, as skipper is the man “driving” a sailing boat.
Thick & warm navy pure new wool with a ribbed allover and red/white stripes all around the borders (shawl collar, waistband and cuffs)
The jumper is fitting slim and elastic.

Size 54 on label, XL

** about sizing fits well also 2/3 sizes less due to its elasticity and slim fitting.
To try to explain, measured not worn the shoulders which are supposed to measure 54, measure 44, Nd that’s because once worn it stretches and m it is very adherent.
I am a size 50 an fits me perfectly, on a 54 would be really slim and tight, but being a 70s item that’s how it is supposed to fit)
